Rahena Mossabir
Rahena Mossabir is the Community Development Worker for the Bangladeshi Communties.
Rahena has been appointed to support Bangladeshi communities in Manchester to address issues of Mental Health. With a background in community develoment work as an Education and Training Development Worker and in community orientated research exploring issues such as South Asian women and HE; the take up of social services by BME groups; transnational relationships amongst British Bangladeshies as well the capacity building support needs of Muslim community groups and organisations in West Yorkshire, Rahena has a keen interest in both grass-root and strategic level work.
Academically, she has completed a BA (Hons) in Sociology and also an MA in Social Research.
